Introduction
When a hunter thinks of South Dakota, he thinks of one thing, fantastic pheasant hunting. Dakota Wild® at ToriLil Farm, LLC exists for one reason, to provide the best wild pheasant hunting experience for the bird hunter. Everything else is secondary.
We provide really wild pheasant hunting – no planted, released or pen raised birds of any kind. Our hunters experience traditional wild pheasant hunting in wide open prairie grass fields enhanced with food plots, shelter belts, draws, cattail sloughs and hard charging flushing labs searching for roosters, all for one purpose: to create the hunt of a lifetime. And those images of the striking South Dakota landscape with hundreds of pheasants in the air will last forever.
Our business has been built on our reputation for great hunting. While we have many repeat customers and some groups have been coming to our farm for 10 or more consecutive years, we always enjoy meeting new sportsman and sharing our unique hunting experience with them.
One of my favorite stories was told to me by a hunter who had visited our farm for the first time. He said that he was talking to a guy back at the motel who asked him if he had seen a hundred birds that day. Apparently, this other hunter was hunting with another outfit and had not done too well. Our hunter paused and said, "Which flush?" He had seen a hundred birds at one time in one flush and had seen over 1,000 birds that day.
